El \u00e1cido asi\u00e1tico exhibi\u00f3 una inhibici\u00f3n efectiva del crecimiento celular al inducir a las c\u00e9lulas cancerosas a sufrir paro de fase S-G2 \/ M y apoptosis.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El bloqueo del ciclo celular se asoci\u00f3 con mayores niveles de p21 \/ WAF1 y cantidades reducidas de cyclinB1, cyclinA, Cdc2 y Cdc25C de manera independiente de p53. El \u00e1cido asi\u00e1tico tambi\u00e9n redujo la funci\u00f3n de Cdc2 al aumentar la asociaci\u00f3n del complejo p21 \/ WAF1 \/ Cdc2 y el nivel de fosfo-Cdc2 y fosfo-Cdc25C inactivados.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El tratamiento con \u00e1cido asi\u00e1tico desencaden\u00f3 la v\u00eda apopt\u00f3tica mitocondrial indicada por el cambio de las relaciones Bax \/ Bcl-2, la liberaci\u00f3n de citocromo c y la activaci\u00f3n de caspasa-9, pero no actu\u00f3 en las v\u00edas de ligando Fas \/ Fas y la activaci\u00f3n de caspasa-8. Tambi\u00e9n encontramos que las prote\u00ednas quinasas activadas por mit\u00f3geno (MAPK), la quinasa regulada por se\u00f1al extracelular (ERK1 \/ 2) y la p38, pero no la quinasa terminal NH2 c-Jun (JNK), son mediadores cr\u00edticos en el crecimiento celular inducido por el \u00e1cido asi\u00e1tico. inhibici\u00f3n.
