Biol. Chem. 270, 16918-16925 )\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Aqu\u00ed, mostramos que una prote\u00edna p53, que exhibe mutaciones de dos puntos en su ADNc, se expresa abundantemente en el hepatoma AS-30D. Los estudios de coexpresi\u00f3n mostraron que la sobreexpresi\u00f3n de p53 activ\u00f3 de manera significativa y reproducible el promotor de la hexoquinasa de tipo II.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Se identificaron dos motivos funcionales de p53 dentro de este promotor mediante an\u00e1lisis de huella y retardo de gel. La presencia de elementos de respuesta de p53 funcionales en el promotor de hexoquinasa tipo II y el efecto regulador positivo sobre el promotor por el p53 mutante indica que en tumores de h\u00edgado de crecimiento r\u00e1pido, y quiz\u00e1s tambi\u00e9n en muchos otros tumores, esta prote\u00edna de p53 altamente abundante juega un papel en manteniendo una alta tasa glucol\u00edtica.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Este es el primer informe de un posible v\u00ednculo entre la p\u00e9rdida del control del ciclo celular en c\u00e9lulas cancerosas de r\u00e1pido crecimiento y su fenotipo de alto contenido glucol\u00edtico.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mathupala, S.
