Adem\u00e1s, la luteolina inhibi\u00f3 la angiog\u00e9nesis in vivo inducida por el factor de crecimiento endotelial vascular (VEGF) en el ensayo corneal de conejo. De acuerdo, la luteolina inhibi\u00f3 tanto la supervivencia inducida por VEGF como la proliferaci\u00f3n de las c\u00e9lulas endoteliales de la vena umbilical humana (HUVEC) con un IC (50) de aproximadamente 5 mumol \/ L. Debido a que la sobreexpresi\u00f3n de una forma constitutivamente activa de Akt rescat\u00f3 HUVEC solo de los efectos antisupervivencia de la luteolina, el resultado indic\u00f3 que la luteolina se dirigi\u00f3 principalmente a las se\u00f1ales de supervivencia de la v\u00eda PI3K \/ Akt.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Con respecto a su actividad antimit\u00f3tica, la luteolina inhibi\u00f3 la fosforilaci\u00f3n inducida por VEGF de la p70 S6 quinasa (S6K), un efector posterior de PI3K responsable de la progresi\u00f3n de G (1). De hecho, la proliferaci\u00f3n de HUVEC inducida por VEGF fue sensible a la rapamicina, un inhibidor de la activaci\u00f3n de p70 S6K.
