(2017).\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC5555548\/\">\u2013(-) Menthol Induces Reversal of Promoter Hypermethylation and Associated Up-Regulation of the FANCF Gene in the SiHa Cell Line<\/a>.\u00a0<i>Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention: APJCP<\/i>, 18(5), 1365.<\/p>\n<p>OBJETIVO: Identificar mol\u00e9culas bioactivas naturales con potencial para inhibir la metiltransferasa de ADN 1 (DNMT1) y causar la reactivaci\u00f3n de genes silenciados debido a la hipermetilaci\u00f3n del promotor.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00c9TODOS Y RESULTADOS: &#8211; (-) El mentol y la epigalocatequina-3-galato (EGCG) (mol\u00e9cula de referencia) se investigaron utilizando un ensayo de metilaci\u00f3n in vitro , que indicaba el potencial de &#8211; (-) mentol como un modulador epigen\u00e9tico con la capacidad de inhibir directamente M.SssI ( un an\u00e1logo de la actividad de DNMT1) a 100 \u00b5M. La PCR espec\u00edfica de metilaci\u00f3n y la secuenciaci\u00f3n de bisulfito revelaron una hipometilaci\u00f3n completa de 15 sitios CpG en el gen de la anemia de Fanconi, gen del grupo de complementaci\u00f3n F ( FANCF ) entre +280 y + 432 nucle\u00f3tidos en relaci\u00f3n con el sitio de inicio de la transcripci\u00f3n, lo que result\u00f3 en un aumento significativo (P &lt;0.001) regulaci\u00f3n de la expresi\u00f3n del gen FANCF por 2.1 y 2.5 veces, respectivamente, despu\u00e9s del tratamiento con mentol (80 \u00b5M) y EGCG (80 \u00b5M) durante 4 d\u00edas en la l\u00ednea celular SiHa como se analiz\u00f3 por PCR qRT.<\/p>\n<p>CONCLUSI\u00d3N: El presente trabajo destac\u00f3 el potencial del &#8211; (-) mentol, un monoterpeno c\u00edclico natural, como un modulador epigen\u00e9tico que causa la reactivaci\u00f3n inducida por la hipometilaci\u00f3n del promotor del gen FANCF mediada por la posible inhibici\u00f3n de la actividad de DNMT1 en la l\u00ednea celular SiHa.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Parashar, G., Parashar, N.
