La funci\u00f3n de los proteasomas est\u00e1 mediada por tres actividades catal\u00edticas principales: (1) similar a la quimotripsina (CT-L), (2) similar a la tripsina (T-L) y (3) hidrolizaci\u00f3n de p\u00e9ptido peptidilglutamil (PGPH). Recientemente, se ha revelado que los inhibidores del proteasoma tienen un efecto antitumoral y se han utilizado para tratar c\u00e1nceres como el mieloma m\u00faltiple. Estudios anteriores han informado que algunos flavonoides pueden inhibir la actividad del proteasoma en las c\u00e9lulas tumorales.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Para investigar m\u00e1s a fondo el mecanismo inhibidor del proteasoma de los flavonoides, examinamos los efectos de los flavonoides vegetales apigenina, crisina y luteolina en las tres actividades catal\u00edticas individuales en diversas l\u00edneas celulares de c\u00e1ncer.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Usando sustratos fluorog\u00e9nicos espec\u00edficos para subunidades catal\u00edticas de proteasoma, demostramos la especificidad de la subunidad de cada flavonoide.
