N\u00edger se mantuvo en aerosoles, con y sin una concentraci\u00f3n urbana de CO (85 \u03bcl por litro o ppm), durante un m\u00e1ximo de 6 horas a 15 \u00b0 C y una humedad relativa (HR) de aproximadamente 0, 25, 50, 75 y 95 %\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Se encontr\u00f3 que el CO aument\u00f3 la tasa de mortalidad de S. marcescens 8UK al menos cuatro a siete veces a baja HR (aproximadamente 1 a 25%), pero protegi\u00f3 las c\u00e9lulas a alta HR (aproximadamente 90%). Las tasas de mortalidad de S. lutea , con o sin CO agregado, fueron comparativamente bajas en todo el rango de HR. Sin embargo, en la primera hora, S. lutea en el airemantenidos en aire que contiene CO fueron m\u00e1s estables que aquellos en aire sin CO agregado (es decir, protecci\u00f3n de CO). Las esporas de N\u00edger disminuyeron significativamente, cuando se mantuvieron en una atm\u00f3sfera que conten\u00eda CO en comparaci\u00f3n con una atm\u00f3sfera que no conten\u00eda CO, en el rango de HR del 0 al 85%.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Por lo tanto, los datos presentados indican que el CO en el entorno urbano puede tener un efecto protector o letal sobre las bacterias transportadas por el aire, dependiendo de al menos las especies microbianas, la edad de los aerosoles y la humedad relativa.
