Sin embargo, a\u00fan se desconoce si este compuesto tiene actividad estrog\u00e9nica \/ antiestrog\u00e9nica.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>OBJETIVO: Para responder a esta pregunta, primero investigamos la capacidad del \u00e1cido el\u00e1gico para influir en la actividad de los subtipos de receptores de estr\u00f3geno ER\u03b1 y ER\u03b2 en las c\u00e9lulas HeLa.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>M\u00c9TODO; Las c\u00e9lulas cotransfectadas con un gen indicador de luciferasa (Luc) dirigido por el elemento de respuesta al estr\u00f3geno (ERE) y un vector de expresi\u00f3n ER\u03b1 o ER\u03b2 se expusieron a concentraciones graduadas de \u00e1cido el\u00e1gico.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>RESULTADOS: A bajas concentraciones (10 &#8211; 7 a 10 &#8211; 9M), este compuesto mostr\u00f3 una actividad estrog\u00e9nica peque\u00f1a pero significativa a trav\u00e9s de ER\u03b1, mientras que era un antagonista de estr\u00f3genos completo a trav\u00e9s de ER\u03b2. Una evaluaci\u00f3n adicional revel\u00f3 que el \u00e1cido el\u00e1gico era un potente antiestr\u00f3geno en las c\u00e9lulas derivadas del c\u00e1ncer de mama MCF-7, aumentando, como el antagonista de estr\u00f3genos puro ICI182780, los niveles de IGFBP-3. Adem\u00e1s, el \u00e1cido el\u00e1gico indujo la mineralizaci\u00f3n de n\u00f3dulos en una l\u00ednea celular osteobl\u00e1stica (KS483), un efecto que fue abolido por el antagonista de estr\u00f3genos. Las c\u00e9lulas epiteliales derivadas del endometrio (Ishikawa) no mostraron respuesta al compuesto natural mediante el uso de un ensayo de viabilidad celular (MTT).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>CONCLUSI\u00d3N; Estos hallazgos sugieren que el \u00e1cido el\u00e1gico puede ser un modulador selectivo natural del receptor de estr\u00f3genos (SERM).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Papoutsi, Z., Kassi, E., Tsiapara, A., Fokialakis, N., Chrousos, G.
