J<i>ournal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry<\/i>, 55(1), 99-105.<\/p>\n<p>Para aclarar el efecto de supresi\u00f3n de glucosa posprandial de los flavonoides, se examinaron en este estudio los efectos inhibitorios de las catequinas y las teaflavinas contra la \u03b1-glucosidasa (AGH).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Inicialmente se demostr\u00f3 que las teaflavinas y las catequinas inhib\u00edan preferentemente la maltasa en lugar de la sacarasa en un sistema de ensayo inhibidor de AGH inmovilizado. Para los efectos inhibidores de la maltasa de las teaflavinas, los efectos se observaron en orden descendente de potencia de theaflavin (TF) -3- O -gallate (Gal)&gt; TF-3,3&#8242;-di- O -Gal&gt; TF-3&#8242;- O- Gal&gt; TF.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Esto sugiere que la inhibici\u00f3n de AGH inducida por las teaflavinas est\u00e1 estrechamente asociada con la presencia de un grupo hidroxilo libre en la posici\u00f3n 3 &#8216;de TF, as\u00ed como la esterificaci\u00f3n de TF con un grupo mono-Gal.
