Varios estudios previos se centraron en biomarcadores inflamatorios individuales, pero debido a la especificidad limitada de cualquier marcador individual, una evaluaci\u00f3n de una combinaci\u00f3n de biomarcadores puede ser m\u00e1s informativa.<\/p>\n<p>OBJETIVO: Utilizamos una puntuaci\u00f3n de inflamaci\u00f3n (IS) que integr\u00f3 12 biomarcadores inflamatorios individuales para el examen de asociaciones con ingestas de diferentes clases de flavonoides.<\/p>\n<p>DISE\u00d1O: El estudio fue un an\u00e1lisis transversal de 2375 participantes de la cohorte de descendientes del estudio del coraz\u00f3n de Framingham. La ingesta de flavonoides totales y sus clases (antocianinas, flavonoles, flavanonas, flavan-3-ols, pol\u00edmeros y flavonas) se calcularon a partir de cuestionarios validados de frecuencia alimentaria. Los biomarcadores inflamatorios individuales se clasificaron, estandarizaron y sumaron para obtener un puntaje general de IS y subgrupos de biomarcadores relacionados funcionalmente.<\/p>\n<p>RESULTADOS: En los an\u00e1lisis multivariados, se observ\u00f3 una asociaci\u00f3n inversa entre una mayor ingesta de antocianinas y flavonol e IS con una diferencia media \u00b1 SE entre las categor\u00edas de quintiles 5 y 1 de \u22121.48 \u00b1 0.32 ( tendencia P \u2264 0.001) y \u22120.72 \u00b1 0.33 ( P -tendencia = 0.01), respectivamente. Los resultados se mantuvieron significativos despu\u00e9s de un ajuste adicional para la actividad f\u00edsica y la ingesta de vitamina C y frutas y verduras. Una mayor ingesta de antocianinas se asoci\u00f3 inversamente con todos los subgrupos de biomarcadores, mientras que una mayor ingesta de flavonol se asoci\u00f3 solo con concentraciones m\u00e1s bajas de citocinas y biomarcadores de estr\u00e9s oxidativo. En los an\u00e1lisis basados \u200b\u200ben alimentos, una mayor ingesta de manzanas y peras, vino tinto y fresas se asoci\u00f3 con un IS m\u00e1s bajo con diferencias entre los quintiles 5 y 1 de \u22121.02 \u00b1 0.43 (P = 0.006), \u22121.73 \u00b1 0.39 ( P &lt;0.001) y \u22120.44 \u00b1 0.88 ( P = 0.02), respectivamente. Aunque las ingestas de otras clases no se asociaron con una reducci\u00f3n en el IS general, las ingestas m\u00e1s altas de flavan-3-ols y sus pol\u00edmeros se asociaron con una reducci\u00f3n significativa en los biomarcadores de estr\u00e9s oxidativo.<\/p>\n<p>CONCLUSI\u00d3N: Estos hallazgos proporcionan evidencia que sugiere que un efecto desinflamatorio puede ser un componente clave subyacente a la reducci\u00f3n del riesgo de ciertas enfermedades cr\u00f3nicas asociadas con una mayor ingesta de antocianinas y flavonoles.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cassidy, A., Rogers, G., Peterson, J.
