(2013).<a href=\"https:\/\/academic.oup.com\/jn\/article\/143\/9\/1474\/4615221\">\u00a0Higher dietary flavonol intake is associated with lower incidence of type 2 diabetes<\/a>.\u00a0<i>The Journal of nutrition<\/i>, 143(9), 1474-1480.<\/p>\n<p>FONDO: Evidencia experimental sustancial sugiere que varias clases de flavonoides est\u00e1n involucradas en el metabolismo de la glucosa, pero existen pocos estudios cl\u00ednicos o epidemiol\u00f3gicos que brinden evidencia humana que respalde esta relaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>OBJETIVO: El objetivo de este estudio fue determinar si la ingesta habitual de clases espec\u00edficas de flavonoides est\u00e1 relacionada con la incidencia de diabetes tipo 2 (T2D).<\/p>\n<p>M\u00c9TODO: Seguimos a 2915 miembros de la cohorte Framingham Offspring que estuvieron libres de T2D al inicio del estudio desde 1991 hasta 2008. La diabetes se defini\u00f3 por glucosa elevada en ayunas (\u22657.0 mmol \/ L) o por el inicio de medicaci\u00f3n hipogluc\u00e9mica durante el seguimiento. Las ingestas diet\u00e9ticas de 6 clases de flavonoides y flavonoides totales se evaluaron mediante un cuestionario de frecuencia de alimentos semicuantitativo validado.<\/p>\n<p>RESULTADOS: Observamos 308 casos incidentes de DM2 durante un per\u00edodo de seguimiento medio de 11,9 a\u00f1os (rango 2,5-16,8 a\u00f1os).Tendencia P = 0.003] y cada aumento de 2.5 veces en la ingesta de flavan-3-ol se asoci\u00f3 marginalmente con una incidencia 11% menor de T2D [HR = 0.89 (IC 95%: 0.80, 1.00); Tendencia P = 0.06]. No se observaron otras asociaciones entre las clases de flavonoides y el riesgo de T2D.<\/p>\n<p>CONCLUSI\u00d3N: Nuestras observaciones respaldan la evidencia experimental previa de una posible relaci\u00f3n beneficiosa entre el aumento de la ingesta de flavonol y el riesgo de T2D.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jacques, P.
