Las plaquetas participan en el desarrollo de la enfermedad ateroscler\u00f3tica y la reducci\u00f3n de la actividad plaquetaria por los medicamentos reduce la incidencia y la gravedad de la enfermedad. El vino tinto y las uvas contienen compuestos polifen\u00f3licos, incluidos los flavonoides, que pueden reducir la agregaci\u00f3n plaquetaria y se han asociado con tasas m\u00e1s bajas de enfermedad cardiovascular. Las frutas c\u00edtricas contienen diferentes clases de polifenoles que pueden no compartir las mismas propiedades.<\/p>\n<p>OBJETIVO: Este estudio evalu\u00f3 si los jugos comerciales de uva, naranja y pomelo, tomados diariamente, reducen la actividad plaquetaria ex vivo.<\/p>\n<p>DISE\u00d1O Y METODO: En un dise\u00f1o cruzado aleatorio, diez sujetos humanos sanos (de 26 a 58 a\u00f1os, cinco de cada g\u00e9nero) bebieron de 5 a 7,5 ml \/ (kg \u00b7 d) de jugo de uva morada, jugo de naranja o jugo de pomelo durante 7 a 10 d\u00edas cada. Se compar\u00f3 la agregaci\u00f3n plaquetaria (agregometr\u00eda de impedancia de sangre total, modelo Chronolog # 590) al inicio del estudio con los resultados despu\u00e9s del consumo de cada jugo.<\/p>\n<p>RESULTADOS: Beber jugo de uva morada durante una semana redujo la respuesta de agregaci\u00f3n plaquetaria de la sangre total a 1 mg \/ L de col\u00e1geno en un 77% (de 17,9 \u00b1 2,3 a 4,0 \u00b1 6,8 ohmios,P = 0,0002). El jugo de naranja y el jugo de toronja no tuvieron ning\u00fan efecto sobre la agregaci\u00f3n plaquetaria.
