Hypertension, 67(2), 288-293.<\/p>\n<p>El aumento de la ingesta de frutas y verduras reduce la presi\u00f3n arterial en estudios de intervenci\u00f3n a corto plazo. Sin embargo, los datos sobre la asociaci\u00f3n de la ingesta a largo plazo de frutas y verduras con el riesgo de hipertensi\u00f3n son escasos.<\/p>\n<p>Examinamos prospectivamente la asociaci\u00f3n independiente de la ingesta de frutas enteras (excluidos los jugos) y de verduras, as\u00ed como el cambio en el consumo de frutas y verduras enteras, con la hipertensi\u00f3n incidente en 3 grandes estudios de cohortes longitudinales: Nurses &#8216;Health Study (n = 62175) , Estudio de salud de enfermeras II (n = 88 475) y Estudio de seguimiento de profesionales de la salud (n = 36 803).<\/p>\n<p>Calculamos las razones de riesgo y los intervalos de confianza del 95% para el consumo de frutas y verduras mientras se controlaban los factores de riesgo de hipertensi\u00f3n. En comparaci\u00f3n con los participantes cuyo consumo fue \u22644 porciones \/ semana, los cocientes de riesgo combinados entre aquellos cuya ingesta fue \u22654 porciones \/ d\u00eda fueron 0,92 (0,87\u20130,97) para la ingesta total de frutas enteras y 0,95 (0,86\u20131,04) para la ingesta total de verduras. De manera similar, en comparaci\u00f3n con los participantes que no aumentaron su consumo de frutas o verduras, los cocientes de riesgo combinados para aquellos cuya ingesta aument\u00f3 en \u22657 porciones \/ semana fueron 0,94 (0,90-0,97) para la ingesta total de frutas enteras y 0,98 (0,94-1,01) para vegetal total. Los an\u00e1lisis de frutas y verduras individuales arrojaron resultados diferentes. Los niveles de consumo de \u22654 porciones \/ semana (en contraposici\u00f3n a &lt;1 porci\u00f3n \/ mes) de br\u00f3coli, zanahorias, tofu o soja, pasas y manzanas se asoci\u00f3 con un menor riesgo de hipertensi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>CONCLUSION: En conclusi\u00f3n, nuestros resultados sugieren que una mayor ingesta a largo plazo y un mayor consumo de frutas enteras pueden reducir el riesgo de desarrollar hipertensi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Borgi, L., Muraki, I., Satija, A., Willett, W.
