Es urgente encontrar inhibidores nuevos y eficientes de fuentes naturales, altamente biodisponibles con baja o nula toxicidad. El reino vegetal es extremadamente rico en una variedad de compuestos que son potentes inhibidores de la AChE: los flavonoides y otros compuestos fen\u00f3licos han sido reconocidos como agentes prometedores para el tratamiento del Alzheimer.<\/p>\n<p>PROPOSITO: En este estudio, se evalu\u00f3 la inhibici\u00f3n in vitro de la acetilcolinesterasa, las actividades antioxidantes y el contenido total de flavonoides y fen\u00f3licos de extractos de etanol-agua de Quercus suber corcho y corcho.<\/p>\n<p>METODOS: La actividad de la acetilcolinesterasa se determin\u00f3 mediante un ensayo colorim\u00e9trico basado en la metodolog\u00eda de Ellman. Se utiliz\u00f3 el m\u00e9todo colorim\u00e9trico de Folin-Ciocalteu para la determinaci\u00f3n del contenido fen\u00f3lico total y el m\u00e9todo del cloruro de aluminio para la determinaci\u00f3n del contenido total de flavonoides. Los ensayos de actividad antioxidante se realizaron utilizando los ensayos DPPH y FRAP.<\/p>\n<p>RESULTADOS: La actividad inhibidora de la acetilcolinesterasa de los extractos de etanol-agua de Q. suber corcho y corkback fue la siguiente: 62% de inhibici\u00f3n con extractos de corcho superiores a 0,5 mg \/ ml y alrededor del 49% de inhibici\u00f3n en extractos de corcho superiores a 1,0 mg \/ ml de concentraci\u00f3n de extractos. Con respecto a la actividad de captaci\u00f3n de radicales de DPPH, las concentraciones de extractos de etanol-agua de corcho y corkback requeridas para la inhibici\u00f3n de DPPH al 50% (IC50) fueron de 3,2\u2009 \u03bcg \/ mL y 4.0\u20135.2\u2009 \u03bc g \/ mL. Los extractos de corcho son menos efectivos que el est\u00e1ndar Trolox (3,2\u2009 \u03bc g \/ ml), pero los extractos de corcho mostraron la misma actividad de eliminaci\u00f3n de radicales libres en comparaci\u00f3n con Trolox. Los extractos de corcho y lomo de corcho tienen un poder antioxidante de 750,9\u2013775,4 mg de TEAC \/ g de extracto y 1051,2\u20132052,4 mg de TEAC \/ g de extracto, respectivamente, que son significativamente m\u00e1s altos que los obtenidos con Trolox: 19,6\u201321,0 mg de TEAC \/ g de extracto (ensayos de corcho ) y 57,4-66,3 mg de TEAC \/ g de extracto (ensayos de corcho). Las cantidades de compuestos fen\u00f3licos (TPC) y flavonoides (TFC) totales fueron de 8,7 a 32,3 mg de GAE \/ gy de 4,8 a 10,7 mg de CE \/ g de masa seca para el corcho y de 5,4 a 5,7 mg de GAE \/ gy 42,5 mg de CE \/ g de masa seca para extractos de lomo de corcho, respectivamente, utilizando catequina (CE) y GAE (\u00e1cido g\u00e1lico) como patrones.<\/p>\n<p>CONCLUSION: Estos hallazgos demuestran el notable potencial de estos extractos como valiosa fuente de antioxidantes con una interesante actividad inhibidora de la acetilcolinesterasa.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ferreira, J., Santos, S., &amp; Pereira, H.
