(2013).\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mdpi.com\/2072-6643\/5\/8\/3131\/htm\">Vitamin C: a novel regulator of neutrophil extracellular trap formation<\/a>.\u00a0<i>Nutrients<\/i>, 5(8), 3131-3150.<\/p>\n<p>INTRODUCCION: La formaci\u00f3n de trampas extracelulares de neutr\u00f3filos (NET) se identific\u00f3 recientemente como un mecanismo novedoso para matar pat\u00f3genos. Sin embargo, la formaci\u00f3n excesiva de NET en la sepsis puede da\u00f1ar los tejidos del hu\u00e9sped. Recientemente hemos demostrado que la vitamina C parenteral (VitC) es protectora en la sepsis. Se desconoce si VitC altera la NETosis.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>METODOS: Utilizamos ratones Gulo &#8211; \/ &#8211; ya que carecen de la capacidad de sintetizar VitC. La sepsis fue inducida por infusi\u00f3n intraperitoneal de una soluci\u00f3n de tallo fecal (peritonitis abdominal, FIP). Algunos Gulo deficientes en VitC &#8211; \/ -los ratones recibieron una infusi\u00f3n de \u00e1cido asc\u00f3rbico (AscA, 200 mg \/ kg) 30 min despu\u00e9s de la inducci\u00f3n de FIP. La NETosis se evalu\u00f3 histol\u00f3gicamente y mediante cuantificaci\u00f3n del ADN libre circulante (cf-ADN) en suero. La autofagia, la citrulinaci\u00f3n de histonas, el estr\u00e9s del ret\u00edculo endopl\u00e1smico (RE), la activaci\u00f3n de NF\u03baB y la apoptosis se investigaron en PMN peritoneales.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>RESULTADOS: La sepsis produjo NET significativos en los pulmones de ratones Gulo &#8211; \/ &#8211; deficientes en VitC y aument\u00f3 el ADN-cf circulante. Esto se atenu\u00f3 en los ratones Gulo &#8211; \/ &#8211; con suficiente VitC y en los ratones Gulo &#8211; \/ &#8211; deficientes en VitC infundidos con AscA. Neutr\u00f3filos polimorfonucleares (PMN) de Gulo deficiente en VitC &#8211; \/ -los ratones demostraron una mayor activaci\u00f3n del estr\u00e9s ER, autofagia, citrulinaci\u00f3n de histonas y activaci\u00f3n de NF\u03baB, mientras que se inhibi\u00f3 la apoptosis.
