Si bien las v\u00edas terap\u00e9uticas para protegerse del IAM son en gran medida elusivas, se ha demostrado que la suplementaci\u00f3n con espermidina, una poliamina que normalmente disminuye con la edad, restaura la proteostasis defectuosa y protege del IAM en Drosophila.<\/p>\n<p>Aqu\u00ed demostramos que la espermidina diet\u00e9tica protege de las alteraciones sin\u00e1pticas relacionadas con la edad en las sinapsis de fibra musgosa del hipocampo (MF) -CA3 y previene la p\u00e9rdida inducida por el envejecimiento de las mitocondrias neuronales.<\/p>\n<p>La espermidina diet\u00e9tica rescat\u00f3 disminuciones dependientes de la edad en la densidad de ves\u00edculas sin\u00e1pticas y restaur\u00f3 en gran medida la potenciaci\u00f3n a largo plazo (LTP) presin\u00e1ptica defectuosa de MF-CA3 en las sinapsis MF-CA3 (MF-CA3) en animales de edad avanzada. Por el contrario, la espermidina no protegi\u00f3 las sinapsis del hipocampo CA3-CA1 caracterizadas por LTP postsin\u00e1ptica de los cambios de funci\u00f3n y morfolog\u00eda relacionados con la edad.<\/p>\n<p>CONCLUSION: Nuestros datos demuestran que la espermidina diet\u00e9tica aten\u00faa el deterioro asociado con la edad de la transmisi\u00f3n sin\u00e1ptica y la plasticidad de MF-CA3.
