(2011). <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pmc\/articles\/PMC3036792\/\">Low-salt diet increases insulin resistance in healthy subjects<\/a>.\u00a0<i>Metabolism<\/i>, 60(7), 965-968.<\/p>\n<p>OBJETIVO: La dieta baja en sal (LS) activa el sistema renina-angiotensina-aldosterona y el sistema nervioso simp\u00e1tico, los cuales pueden aumentar la resistencia a la insulina (RI). Investigamos la hip\u00f3tesis de que la dieta LS se asocia con un aumento de la RI en sujetos sanos.<\/p>\n<p>METODOS: Se estudiaron individuos sanos despu\u00e9s de 7 d\u00edas de dieta LS (sodio en orina &lt;20 mmol \/ d\u00eda) y 7 d\u00edas de dieta alta en sal (HS) (sodio en orina&gt; 150 mmol \/ d\u00eda) en un orden aleatorio. La RI se midi\u00f3 despu\u00e9s de cada dieta y se compar\u00f3 estad\u00edsticamente, sin ajustar y ajustada para covariables importantes.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>RESULTADOS: En este estudio se incluyeron ciento cincuenta y dos hombres y mujeres sanos, 39,1 \u00b1 12,5 a\u00f1os (rango 18-65), \u00edndice de masa corporal (IMC) 25,3 \u00b1 4,0 kg \/ m2. La evaluaci\u00f3n del modelo de homeostasis media (DE) (HOMA) fue significativamente mayor en la dieta LS en comparaci\u00f3n con la dieta HS (2.8 \u00b1 1.6 Vs 2.4 \u00b1 1.7; P &lt;0.01). Aldosterona s\u00e9rica (21,0 \u00b1 14,3 Vs 3,4 \u00b1 1,5 ng \/ dl; p &lt;0,001), aldosterona en orina de 24 horas (63,0 \u00b1 34,0 Vs 9,5 \u00b1 6,5 \u00b5g \/ d\u00eda; p &lt;0,001) y excreci\u00f3n de norepinefrina en orina de 24 horas (78,0 \u00b1 36,7 Vs 67,9 \u00b1 39,8 \u00b5g \/ d\u00eda; p &lt;0,05) fueron mayores con la dieta LS en comparaci\u00f3n con la dieta HS. La dieta LS se asoci\u00f3 significativamente con un HOMA m\u00e1s alto independientemente de la edad, el sexo, la presi\u00f3n arterial, el IMC, el sodio y potasio s\u00e9rico, la angiotensina II s\u00e9rica, la actividad de la renina plasm\u00e1tica, la aldosterona s\u00e9rica y urinaria y la epinefrina y noradrenalina en orina.<\/p>\n<p>CONCLUSIONES: La dieta baja en sal se asocia con un aumento de la RI.
