(2012). <a href=\"https:\/\/pubs.acs.org\/doi\/abs\/10.1021\/jf3003027\">Structure\u2013activity relationships of \u03b1-, \u03b21-, \u03b3-, and \u03b4-tomatine and tomatidine against human breast (MDA-MB-231), gastric (KATO-III), and prostate (PC3) cancer cells<\/a>.<i>\u00a0Journal of agricultural and food chemistry<\/i>, 60(15), 3891-3899.<\/p>\n<p>La hidr\u00f3lisis \u00e1cida parcial de la cadena lateral de tetrasac\u00e1rido (licotetraosa) de la \u03b1-tomatina glicoalcaloide del tomate dio como resultado la formaci\u00f3n de cuatro productos con cadenas laterales de tres, dos, uno y cero carbohidratos, que se separaron mediante cromatograf\u00eda l\u00edquida de alta resoluci\u00f3n (HPLC) e identificado mediante cromatograf\u00eda de capa fina (TLC) y cromatograf\u00eda l\u00edquida, espectrometr\u00eda de masas de tiempo de vuelo con trampa de iones (LCMS-IT-TOF).<\/p>\n<p>Las actividades inhibidoras en t\u00e9rminos de valores de CI50 (concentraci\u00f3n que inhibe el 50% de las c\u00e9lulas en las condiciones de prueba) del compuesto original y los hidrolizados, aislados por HPLC preparativa, contra c\u00e9lulas normales de h\u00edgado y pulm\u00f3n humanos y de mama, g\u00e1strica y pr\u00f3stata humanos<\/p>\n<p>Las c\u00e9lulas cancerosas indican que (a) la eliminaci\u00f3n de az\u00facares redujo significativamente los efectos inhibidores de c\u00e9lulas dependientes de la concentraci\u00f3n de los compuestos de prueba, (b) las c\u00e9lulas de c\u00e1ncer de pr\u00f3stata PC3 eran aproximadamente 10 veces m\u00e1s susceptibles a la inhibici\u00f3n por \u03b1-tomatina que las c\u00e9lulas de mama y g\u00e1stricas c\u00e9lulas cancerosas o c\u00e9lulas normales, (c) la actividad de \u03b1-tomatina contra las c\u00e9lulas de c\u00e1ncer de pr\u00f3stata fue 200 veces mayor que la de la aglicona tomatidina, y (d) la actividad aument\u00f3 a medida que aumentaba el n\u00famero de az\u00facares en la aglicona, pero esto solo fue estad\u00edsticamente significativo ap &lt;0,05 para la l\u00ednea celular de pulm\u00f3n normal Hel299. El efecto de los alcaloides sobre el factor de necrosis tumoral \u03b1 (TNF-\u03b1) se midi\u00f3 en c\u00e9lulas de macr\u00f3fagos RAW264.7.<\/p>\n<p>Hubo una correlaci\u00f3n negativa estad\u00edsticamente significativa entre la dosis de \u03b3- y \u03b1-tomatina y el nivel de TNF-\u03b1.
