(2017).<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mdpi.com\/2072-6643\/9\/11\/1271\/htm\"> Benefits of nut consumption on insulin resistance and cardiovascular risk factors: multiple potential mechanisms of actions<\/a>.\u00a0<i>Nutrients<\/i>, 9(11), 1271.<\/p>\n<p>FONDO: Los estudios epidemiol\u00f3gicos y cl\u00ednicos han indicado que el consumo de frutos secos podr\u00eda ser una estrategia diet\u00e9tica saludable para prevenir y tratar la diabetes tipo 2 (DM2) y las enfermedades cardiovasculares relacionadas (ECV).<\/p>\n<p>OBJETIVO: El objetivo de esta revisi\u00f3n es examinar los posibles mecanismos de acci\u00f3n de los frutos secos que abordan los efectos sobre el control gluc\u00e9mico, el control del peso, el equilibrio energ\u00e9tico, el apetito, la modificaci\u00f3n de la microbiota intestinal, el metabolismo de los l\u00edpidos, el estr\u00e9s oxidativo, la inflamaci\u00f3n, la funci\u00f3n endotelial y la presi\u00f3n arterial, con especial atenci\u00f3n a datos de estudios en animales y humanos.<\/p>\n<p>RESULTADOS: Los efectos favorables de las nueces podr\u00edan explicarse por la composici\u00f3n \u00fanica de nutrientes y los compuestos bioactivos en las nueces. Los \u00e1cidos grasos insaturados (\u00e1cidos grasos monoinsaturados y \u00e1cidos grasos poliinsaturados) presentes en los frutos secos pueden desempe\u00f1ar un papel en el control de la glucosa y la supresi\u00f3n del apetito. La fibra y los polifenoles de las nueces tambi\u00e9n pueden tener un efecto antidiab\u00e9tico al alterar la microbiota intestinal. Los frutos secos reducen el colesterol s\u00e9rico al reducir la absorci\u00f3n de colesterol, inhibir la HMG-CoA reductasa y aumentar la producci\u00f3n de \u00e1cidos biliares mediante la estimulaci\u00f3n de la 7-\u03b1 hidroxilasa. La arginina y el magnesio mejoran la inflamaci\u00f3n, el estr\u00e9s oxidativo, la funci\u00f3n endotelial y la presi\u00f3n arterial.<\/p>\n<p>CONCLUSION: En conclusi\u00f3n, los frutos secos contienen compuestos que influyen favorablemente en la homeostasis de la glucosa, el control de peso y la salud vascular.
