El extracto de semilla de uva (GSE), un producto rico en flavonoides, es un moderador potencial de estos marcadores. Este estudio tuvo como objetivo probar la hip\u00f3tesis de que GSE puede mejorar estos marcadores en sujetos cardiovasculares de alto riesgo con diabetes tipo 2.<\/p>\n<p>DISE\u00d1O Y METODO DE INVESTIGACION: Treinta y dos pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo 2, a los que se les prescribi\u00f3 dieta o agentes hipoglucemiantes orales, recibieron GSE (600 mg \/ d\u00eda) o placebo durante cuatro semanas en un ensayo cruzado (crossover) aleatorio doble ciego. Marcadores de funci\u00f3n endotelial (medidos por fotopletismograf\u00eda), estr\u00e9s oxidativo [estado antioxidante total (TAOS), glutati\u00f3n reducido (GSH) \/ glutati\u00f3n oxidado (GSSG)], inflamaci\u00f3n [prote\u00edna C reactiva altamente sensible (hsCRP), relaci\u00f3n entre alb\u00famina urinaria: creatinina ), la resistencia a la insulina [evaluaci\u00f3n del modelo de homeostasis: resistencia a la insulina (HOMA-IR)] y el metabolismo (fructosamina, perfil de l\u00edpidos) se midieron al inicio del estudio y despu\u00e9s de la intervenci\u00f3n con GSE o placebo.<\/p>\n<p>RESULTADOS: Caracter\u00edsticas basales (16 hombres y 16 mujeres): edad 61,8 \u00b1 6,36 a\u00f1os; \u00edndice de masa corporal 30,2 \u00b1 5,92 kg \/ m2; duraci\u00f3n de la diabetes 5,9 \u00b1 2,14 a\u00f1os. Despu\u00e9s de GSE (pero no placebo), se observaron cambios significativos en la fructosamina (282 \u00b1 40,9 frente a 273 \u00b1 50,2 mmol \/ l; P = 0,0004); GSH en sangre total (2359 \u00b1 823 frente a 3595 \u00b1 1051 mmol \/ l; P &lt;0,01) y PCRh (3,2 \u00b1 3,65 frente a 2,0 \u00b1 2,2 mg \/ l; P = 0,0006). La concentraci\u00f3n de colesterol total tambi\u00e9n disminuy\u00f3 (4,5 \u00b1 0,96 frente a 4,3 \u00b1 0,99 mmol \/ l; P = 0,05). No se mostraron cambios estad\u00edsticamente significativos en la funci\u00f3n endotelial, HOMA-IR o TAOS.<\/p>\n<p>CONCLUSION: GSE mejor\u00f3 significativamente los marcadores de inflamaci\u00f3n y glucemia y un \u00fanico marcador de estr\u00e9s oxidativo en sujetos obesos con diabetes tipo 2 con alto riesgo de eventos cardiovasculares durante un per\u00edodo de 4 semanas, lo que sugiere que puede tener un papel terap\u00e9utico en la disminuci\u00f3n del riesgo cardiovascular.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kar, P., Laight, D., Rooprai, H.
