(2007). <a href=\"https:\/\/downloads.hindawi.com\/journals\/mi\/2007\/045673.pdf\">Anti-inflammatory effects of flavonoids: genistein, kaempferol, quercetin, and daidzein inhibit STAT-1 and NF-\u03baB activations, whereas flavone, isorhamnetin, naringenin, and pelargonidin inhibit only NF-\u03baB activation along with their inhibitory effect on iNOS expression and NO production in activated macrophages<\/a>.\u00a0<i>Mediators of inflammation<\/i>, 2007.<\/p>\n<p>En la inflamaci\u00f3n, los productos bacterianos y las citocinas proinflamatorias inducen la formaci\u00f3n de grandes cantidades de \u00f3xido n\u00edtrico (NO) por la \u00f3xido n\u00edtrico sintasa inducible (iNOS), y los compuestos que inhiben la producci\u00f3n de NO tienen efectos antiinflamatorios.<\/p>\n<p>En el presente estudio, investigamos sistem\u00e1ticamente los efectos de 36 flavonoides naturales y compuestos relacionados sobre la producci\u00f3n de NO en macr\u00f3fagos expuestos a un est\u00edmulo inflamatorio (lipopolisac\u00e1rido, LPS) y evaluamos los mecanismos de acci\u00f3n de los compuestos efectivos.<\/p>\n<p>La flavona, las isoflavonas daidze\u00edna y geniste\u00edna, los flavonoles isorhamnetina, kaempferol y quercetina, la flavanona naringenina y la antocianina pelargonidina inhibieron la expresi\u00f3n de la prote\u00edna iNOS y el ARNm y tambi\u00e9n la producci\u00f3n de NO de manera dosis dependiente. Los ocho compuestos activos inhibieron la activaci\u00f3n del factor nuclear kappaB (NF-kappaB), que es un factor de transcripci\u00f3n importante para iNOS. La geniste\u00edna, el kaempferol, la quercetina y la daidze\u00edna tambi\u00e9n inhibieron la activaci\u00f3n del transductor de se\u00f1al y el activador de la transcripci\u00f3n 1 (STAT-1), otro factor de transcripci\u00f3n importante para iNOS.
